Behavior analysts at NEBS provide training on implementing recommended strategies to all necessary caregivers. Training for caregivers is essential anytime caregivers are integral to the implementation or monitoring of a behavior support plan. This training occurs primarily in the consumer’s home or other natural environments and focuses on assisting caregivers with implementing interventions. Training includes verbal and written instruction, demonstration of caregiver skills, guided practice and feedback. As support procedures are implemented, NEBS's behavior analysts continue to collect data and evaluate data collected by caregivers in order to use objective data to determine program efficacy. Behavior analysts also collect data on program implementation and rely on concrete evidence to determine whether behavior change has occurred; and modify programming and/or provide additional training as necessary.
